Admissions Policy
All admission decisions are free from discrimination, guided by the nine
protected characteristics described in the Equality Act 2010. These characteristics include
disability, gender, race, religion/belief and sexual orientation.
Attendance Policy
We are committed to upholding the legal requirements for compulsory
school attendance up to the statutory school leaving age of sixteen years.
Complaints Procedure
We believe that this school provides an excellent education and that the Headteacher and school personnel work very hard to build positive relationships with all parents and others. However, we are obliged under Section 39 of the School Standards and Framework Act to have in place clear procedures to deal with complaints made against the school or individuals connected with it.
Curriculum Policy
We aim to make our curriculum accessible and engaging to all pupils, enable them to achieve the highest academic and personal standards of which they are capable by providing them with challenges and the life skills that they need in order to take their place in society.
e-Safety Policy
The e-Safety Policy is part of the ICT Policy and School Development Plan and relates to other policies including those for ICT and child protection.
First Aid Policy
Children and adults in our care need good quality first aid provision. Clear and agreed systems ensure that all children are given the same care and understanding in our school.
Food & Fitness Policy
We will work closely with the Food and Fitness Working Group and hear their views and opinions as we acknowledge and support Article 12 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child that children should be encouraged to form and to express their views.
Positive Behaviour & Anti-Bullying Policy
At Redhill Preparatory School we acknowledge that behaviour is best encouraged through positive measures and therefore have a wide range of rewards as encouragement.
Safeguarding Policy
Redhill Prep School accepts that it is the responsibility of every adult to protect children from abuse. All children have a right to be protected from all forms of abuse and discrimination and to be treated equally regardless of age, gender, racial origin, culture, religious belief, language, disability or sexual identity.
Sex & Relationships Policy
We follow the Welsh Government Guidelines Circular 019/2010 to: ‘Create a culture that supports open and responsible discussion of relationships and sexual health and wellbeing. Be confident in providing positive, holistic SRE programmes that meet the needs of all learners.’
Countering Cyber-Bullying Policy
Redhill Prep is committed to maintaining a robust anti-bullying framework that includes a specific focus on cyber-bullying, applicable to all pupils throughout the Prep School. This policy aligns with our Anti-Bullying and Positive Behaviour Policy (covering rewards, sanctions, and conduct). Staff are expected to uphold professional conduct and pupils are encouraged to behave in ways that deter bullying, including online harassment.
Assessment & Reporting Policy
Assessment is a broad term that covers a multitude of procedures and policies linked to assessing pupil performance, recording it and reporting on it.

ALN Policy
The system for supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disability in Wales has changed.
The Welsh Government has brought in the Additional Learning Needs and Educational Tribunal Act (ALNET 2018) which creates a more flexible and responsive system to meet the needs of children with special educational needs or disabilities.
Data Protection Policy
Redhill Prep School (“the School”) is committed to protecting personal data and privacy. We collect, use, store and share personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018), related ICO guidance, and the Independent School Standards (Wales) Regulations 2024 – Part 3.
Data Protection Privacy Notices (GDPR)
Under data protection law, individuals have a right to be informed about how the school uses any personal data that we hold about them. We comply with this right by providing ‘privacy notices’ (sometimes called ‘fair processing notices’) to individuals where we are processing their personal data.
