Redhill House of Children follows the authentic Montessori approach to learning, the Nursery Class and Montessori Class provide Practical life and Sensorial areas which lay the foundations for work in writing, reading, mathematics geography, history and science. The Montessori manipulative materials, with teacher’s guidance means that the hand works with the brain to develop a deep understanding of concepts.

Custom sized furniture creates a ‘home’ environment. On low shelves materials support children’s independence allowing engagement in practical activities around everyday life some examples include preparing snack, washing, cutting, pouring, polishing, dusting and threading
Children learn at their own pace in a non-competitive fashion, covering all seven areas of learning in the EYFP.
